Thyroid

Your thyroid is an important gland in your body that helps with regulating many processes in your body. Located in the front of the neck, this butterfly-shaped gland produces hormones that play a key role in regulating blood pressure, body temperature, heart rate, metabolism and the reaction of the body to other hormones.

"Working with Tammy in an Integrative Nurse Practitioner role I felt like I was able to fully voice my concerns. The appointment was very laid back, and comfortable, yet thorough, and professional. She was able to answer all of my questions without making me feel rushed. If there was further investigation required she was able to make those referrals or order the appropriate tests in the interest of optimal health, not just ensuring the absence of disease. The recommendations provided by Tammy were clear, actionable, and measurable with plans to follow up and review our progress. It is refreshing to have a healthcare practitioner on my team that empowers me to make effective and informed changes to my behaviours in the interest of achieving best possible health outcomes. I can’t recommend Tammy enough."
